memoirs of a murderer

In spite of the proliferation of guns our weapon of choice is still the stereotypical choice of women. Poison.

The wonderful thing about poison is that it doesn't look deadly. It looks innocent -- especially when mixed with a pure medium that the victims never suspect. They never doubt that the Logic isn't sound or that Common Sense is contaminated. A very insidious combination is with Truth. But! The most effective medium for poison is Love … it never fails.

I'm very good at poisoning my victims with just the right amount of toxicity. I think a small amount of confidence can't be considered out of line when I say you will always succeed if you follow my advice. Below is a small list of poisons that are highly potent:

1. CRITICISM
There are a number of brand names. All get the job done; it is really a matter of personal preference. A few of my favorites are:
You Aren't Good Enough
What Were You Thinking
(especially lethal delivered in a sincere, caring voice)
Stupid (bitter tasting, but when carefully folded into the shambles of a failure, only a discerning palette can distinguish it from Truth)

2. FEAR
I'm slightly embarrassed listing such a cliché, but it is a cliché for a reason. I must insist, however, on the What brand. It is very potent. What Will They Think, What If I Fail, What If Something Goes Wrong, What Is God's Will. I can't begin to list them all, but their catalog is free.

3. LACK OF FAITH or UNBELIEF
These two are highly competitive and each has their proponents, much like Pepsi and Coke. But we all know with a good pizza either will do. Here is a short list of the most popular flavors. They are very palatable and easily administered.
I Don't Know My Bible vs. Jesus Was Just a Good Man
God Would Never Use Me vs. Miracles Don't Happen
You Need to Try Harder vs. God Doesn't Care About That
I Don't Know How vs. If There Was a God, This Wouldn't Happen (this one muddles the thinking so the victim doesn't know he needs an antidote)

Perhaps you noticed, that I interchanged pronouns, You and I. That's the tricky thing. The poisoner is never immune to his poisons. Today is a good day to die. Don't you think?
